PLDT CAMERA CLUB
I was fortunate enough to get invited to the re-launching of the defunked PLDT Camera Club, which I used to be a member of. To top it all, I was given the chance to share my "Journey to Photography".

So I dug into my old photos and got the veru first picture of a rose taken in Baguio way back. That was to show a contrast on how I evolved into a just hobbyist to a serious photo enthusiast. Shown are the photos compliments of the Club photographer during the event and my presentation.

Champorado at Tuyo

It's gloomy out there because it has been raining for days now and a thypoon brewing up North. It's a lazy day. You would want to stay in bed all day or perhaps have Champorado (chocolate porrigde) and Tuyo (dried fish) for breakfast or even at lunch time. It's the perfect pair as puto't diniguaan, suman at mangga, etc. What a perfect time and a perfect combination as you savour the sweetness of the choco porridge with the tingling saltiness of the dried fish. It's ironic though how the two blend well despite their different and opposing tastes but it tastes perfect as you forget your name while eating it. I myself cooked them this morning as I write this blog my lovely wife, Norlyn, still enjoying eating the champorado and tuyo.

MVP's Birthday

No it's not Most Valuable Player, but it's PLDT's Chairman Manny V. Pangilinan's 63th birthday and I was again given the chance to be part of it by capturing in digital photos his special day. Once more, my former boss, Horace Lavides, invited and commissioned me to cover it. Waking up as early as 3:30 am on July 14th to catch up our service from RCB (PLDT headquarter in Makati) we traversed the North Diversion Road (NLEX) to Apalit, Pampanga for the 7:30 am Mass said for MVP's natal day. I enjoyed every bit of it covering this very special event. I made sure I get good prints and viola, the same day the Media Audio Visual Head, Jun Sambalilo, one of my former staff and colleague, posted for the entire PLDT Group to view in the ACCESS Lite. Last Father's Day...

I got this pampering through the insistence of my wife, Norlyn, and daughter, Princess, and convinced me (anyway it was father's day) so I obliged. I was treated to a foot and upper back massage. It was my very first experience and it was a relaxing and a very pleasant one since it was a sort of gift to me by my wife and kids during our special day. Thank God for having a loving family.

IT'S LIKE COMING HOME

Quite recently my former boss, Mr Horace A. Lavides, gave me a call and asked me whether I could help them come out with ACC:ESS, the official PLDT company publication done by Media Services Division. It's the division where I used to be a part of. I readilly accepted. So it was a homecoming and doing what I used to enjoy doing. Shown here are the March, with the PBA Fiesta Conference champions Talk N Text team, and April 2009, featuring Arnel Pineda, the Journey's pop group vocalist and pitch-perfect vocalist, issues which I helped former colleagues came out with.
